Re: new routes
HI Jack,
Thanks for the time and effort you have put into the update. I had a successful download in that there was no error message during the download. However, I am still have object problems. But in saying that I noticed that I was getting both Japanese type signalling as well as BR signals and wonder if something is wrong with my Open BVE set up on my computer. had a hard drive failure a couple of months back and had a new drive fitted. They managed to back-up everything from the failed hard drive and re-load it back onto the new drive. As fa as I'm aware my computer is working fine.
However, I remember from many, many years back now that you had to have the correct folder and files to run BR signals correctly and I am wondering something has gone astray during the back-up to the new drive in regards to Open BVE.
Here ae two screen grabs. One shows the two types of signals at Beezley Moor station on your Beezley Moorrrrr to Marshthorpe route file. The other shows the contents in my OpenBVE v. 1.5.4.1 folder on my 'C' drive. I am hoping someone may be able to work out what may be missing.
Thanks again for your time and work.

Re: new routes
Hi Jack, You will be pleased to know that the problem is indeed with my OpenBVE set up for V. 1.5.4.1. My apologies for having given you some extra work on your folders and files of you route. I loaded your two routes into v. 1.4.3.2 and both your routes run perfectly.
As a trial I loaded the East Coast Route into both versions and in v. 1.5.4.1 I had the Japanese signals and in v. 1.4.3.2 it had BR signals. I then loaded your routes into v. 1.4.3.2 and everything was fine.
As the problem is mine I will give more details in a separate thread so that anyone who may be able to help work out the problem can do so without affecting your thread.
Thanks again.

Re: new routes
Ok.... Why are you using 1.5.X use 1.6 its better. Amd ist modern. People must use newer bve versions. Or problems like this will indeed occur. Which is not pleasant

Re: new routes
Fair comment there moving. I just use 1.6 as my poor old xp laptop died last week. It went completey haywire and gave up on me. And windows 10 doesnt like older bve versions. XP ran 1.6 and older fine. I can go as old as 1.5.4 before it wants yo throw up errors. Microsoft havent designed it very well in my opinion and im not very tech savy or anything. All i know is japanese signalling exsists while the rest i still have to unfold and discover myself. If anybody has any suggestins on what to do. Please do. I hate windows 10 and its not going well for me so far.
I miss my old version of bve. OpenBve 1.0

Re: new routes
Thanks, Movingmillion. I have had a successful download of v.1.6.0.0, as far as I can tell. I have it set up as a stand alone programme and at the moment only have Jack's two routes and trains in their respectful folders. Sadly I have exactly the same results as with v. 0.5.4.1, a mixture of Japanese and BR signals, with lots of missing objects and other that shouldn't be there including semaphore signals that don't clear. I am now quite stumped as to what is wrong. However, as the route works fine in v. 1.4.3.2 then it would appear that there are files in that set-up that don't appear to be in the v5 & 6 versions, but what!
