Cwm Twypsin
Just thought I'd say a thank you to greymac for his Welsh line. 'Been exploring the valleys over the weekend, very atmospheric. As a native of Newport (many decades ago) I remember watching the real trains go by on that route, in the park by the river, (just about where the M4 is today!).

Glad you enjoyed it! I used to spend a lot time in the area when I lived in the Forest of Dean and drove artics to many Welsh stores fo a supermarket distribution firm based in Ross on Wye. Though as I'm now in Ireland I cheated a bit by using many object textures from Google streetview to save having to come back over the water to make the route and some route knowledge acquired from Video 125's "Down Fishguard", "Welsh Marches" and "Heart of Wales" productions to help get the feel of it.
I'm working on a period piece right now, called "Cheltenham" - see the Celtictrainsim facebook page for screenshots of progress.

Hi Gray, Sorry I haven't got around to replying to your last email. So much has been going on and I was away from home for Christmas and New Year so have got behind. I enjoyed trying out your Hymack. Great little loco that O drove a lot while a secondman and the first loco I self-taught myself to know to the point of being passed on them. That helped me a lot when becoming a driver and having to learn the 47's and numerous other locos I worked on over the years.
You have done a nice job on producing this Openbve train.

Thanks Bill.
I made the Hymek for fun and I did point out (before the "rivet counters" jumped in) in this thread: https://bveworldwide.forumotion.com/t1217-cheltenham that the physics and sounds aren't authentic. But nobody seems to mind and it seems quite popular.

Thanks, Gray,
I understood that it was just for fun but overall it looked and played very well. I did notice the odd anomaly. The proportional brake lever moves forward when you release the brake and moves back to apply the brakes! Most unusual.
However, as I say. The loco looks good and plays well and I am sure a bit of tweeking would make it a perfectly good OpenBVE train.
Slainte.
Bill.
