BVE Cornwall: The Plymouth Route V1.6.0.0
I'm pleased to announce that the Plymouth Route has now been updated to V1.4.0.0!
This release concentrates on improving the track between Saltash and Shillingstone Tunnel, giving a total of 4km of refurbished track.
Key Changes:
The next step is now likely to be the refurbishment of the next 3.5km of track, bringing us to St. Germans station. I don't know how long this will take, but hopefully things may keep on moving at this year's pace!
(To note, Dinmore Manor is now a default train to add to those already available)
Cheers

Re: BVE Cornwall: The Plymouth Route V1.6.0.0
So, on Easter Sunday I updated the Plymouth Route to V1.5.0.0
Changes are as follows:
Slow, incremental progress
The next job is oddly enough getting to Menheniot!
This phase of rebuilding is now into by far the oldest part of the route (Somewhere at least 5-6 years old, I've learnt a lot since then) and will involve the addition of approximately 4km worth of track to bring us to a par with the prototype, so you can see how badly this needs it.
Work on this is already well underway, and the basic curves and gradients are complete. Whilst most of this section is countryside, unfortunately Cornwall is not a very flat place, and so installing terrain may take a little while!
Whilst as ever I'm not even going to try and provide an ETA, work is moving at by far the fastest pace I've ever managed.
Cheers

Re: BVE Cornwall: The Plymouth Route V1.6.0.0
I took a ride on it and enjoyed the journey immensely. Excellent and worthwhile improvements compared to the earlier releases, you can see the difference it's made. Keep up the good work.
Re: BVE Cornwall: The Plymouth Route V1.6.0.0
Due to fiddling with the main OpenBVE source, and a lot of other bits and bobs, unfortunately this release is several months late
Having said that, V1.6.0.0 is now up on my site!
Changes are as follows:
The licence conditions for this release have also changed a little-
You're welcome to take anything I've built under whatever license you desire. I personally prefer the BSD 2-Clause license, but I have no desire to add strings to my work.
Please note that this release also contains stuff built by others, and I'd ask that you respect their wishes.
There is a much longer version of the above at the foot of my readme, and which has been on my site for months
Cheers

Changes are as follows:
- Various bugfixes around Laira Junction/ Depot. (Height of flyover, incorrect objects and stuff)
- Trackwork rebuilt between St. Germans and Menheniot. This has added approximately another 4km to the route length, giving a total length to Liskeard of 32km.
- Variety of passing trains improved, and a Class 35 'Hymek' added to these objects.
- Variety of road traffic increased.
- All objects from a 'certain' source replaced with improved open-source alternatives.

Re: BVE Cornwall: The Plymouth Route V1.6.0.0
I drove this release and it is a very enjoyable route. Compared to a few years ago when I first drove this, you are doing some great work with plenty of good improvements.

I really enjoyed driving through the hills, your landscape looks very good. Thanks!
Re: BVE Cornwall: The Plymouth Route V1.6.0.0
Have the update up and running. Fantastic update. Have run one freight run and one passenger train so far and enjoyed it very much. Having visited all Cornish Routes over the last year, for the first time, with only the Falmouth branch to do very soon now, it was nice running the route between Plymouth and St Austel and recognising the layout.
A very worthy upgrade.
