A week of hot weather...
It's been nice for photography and film making - and of course, for serving British Gas right for putting up their prices during the winter months in the past two/three years!

Re: A week of hot weather...
Same here, and it still goes on! Hope it lasts till Saturday, I will be able to take my camera outside for once...
Re: A week of hot weather...
Looks like it's all over.
We have had some HEAVY rain today - coming back from York earlier, I couldn't even see outside of the voyager I was traveling on. Later when we were shopping at our local supermarket, you could REALLY hear the rain on the roof.
In 5 days we've gone from one extreme to another.

Re: A week of hot weather...
Exactly, it has come our way in the night. And it's still pouring out there... well, I will be ready to make some progress this weekend as there won't be much else to do.

There's a new route out, if that counts as not much else
Re: A week of hot weather...
Don't get the wrong end of the stick, I was talking about myself, and myself only.
Re: A week of hot weather...
It's OK Derryck, you didn't know about the new route when you posted you had nothing else to do. Of course, you must work on your route too! So don't spend too long in the drivers seat!!
Let's see, that will make the score Ireland 1, Czech Rep 1.
And England have not scored yet

Yes, the British are yet struggling to get hold of the ball...
But I am sure that many interesting things are being made by them, so watch out!

Re: A week of hot weather...
2-2 wasn't a bad score though...

Re: A week of hot weather...
What do you bloody well expect? You're in Manchester, for God's sake!! Famously known as the rainiest place in the whole of England, according to legend.
Not that I know anything about England. Born in it. Educated in it. Lived in it for 40 years. And yesterday the Guardian newspaper had some of the test questions on their website, which the Government ask people from other countries who want to come and live in England.
So I took the test. And failed it miserably, with 14 right out of 24, for which I would not be allowed to remain in England as I do not know enough about the culture and way of life.
What chance have the poor bloody immigrants got, then?
British Government and Conservatives are racist bastards.

in all seriousness what he said is true. i dont want these immigrants coming over here taking all our jobs etc... but with the "real English" sitting at home letting the government pay for there lifes then i can see no right. there two busy spending all our money on crap we see nothing from and trying to save their jobs by modifying the next general election.
FYI gray i got 5 right. so your not the only bad person

Proud to live in the rainiest city in the country, I'd rather be living in the rainy city here in Manchester rather than be scorching hot in London with an even bigger crime rate, and expensively jacked up prices.
the prices are high. but so is the rate of pay. FYI argos have "business zoning" IE BD18 is Bradford, West Yorkshire. Which is middle ranking at 6.05 PH for a 16+ employee, and 8.95 PH for a London area for the same role. but yet if i was to work in london and come/go on a business trip/transfer/store refit team id still get that pay. society is well untrue-ly in the pig sti and right.

Re: A week of hot weather...
Well, Jeffrey, if its the rain you're after, sure you'd ADORE it in the west of Ireland. As far as the weather and politics goes, I dare say that if the politicians thought we would vote for them if they made nice weather part of the deal, well, they would try and convince us. And there might even be the odd eejit who would believe them.
The political point I was pointing out is the stupidity of the British Government's test for wannabe immigrants, which consists of questions which most native brits wouldn't get right. I got 14/24, which means "sod off", Ben got 5/24, two of my English friends got 13/24 and 5/24. That means we would all be chucked out. (Though the other two are over here already, so it's just mrknowitall that the KGB will be coming for)
If there isn't a racist agenda there then Rosemary West is a saint and Margaret Thatcher is more blessed than Mother Teresa.

Re: A week of hot weather...
It would be nice to get a bit nearer the equator at this time of year. A warm beach, lounge chair, nice glass of something to drink and a laptop with my favourite route installed.
Aaaah, well! Back to reality . . . . .

Worse thing is when you go on a holiday to somewhere near the equator... And it's raining heavily daily.
