It might also have something to do with that the site tried to infect my laptop with a cute little virus. Fortunately I happen to have an AV scanner for those rare moments.

What virus is it named? How does it try to infect your laptop?

That was a couple of months ago, and searching through avast!'s logs is hard. I think it was an ordinary exploit package, trying to infect your computer through outdated Flash, Java, Internet Explorer itself (don't use it for obvious reasons), and some older Firefox exploits (mine's up to date).
