Two Switch objects
Unfortunately, Rüdiger Hülsmann's Switch 1.5 utility ( http://www.ruedes-bve-seite.de/ ) refuses to work on my computer running Windows 7. Suggestions on how to solve this problem would be welcome, but if that's not possible, could someone please generate the two objects I need and email them to me? I need:
1. a curve, radius -1318 m, turned on its own angle: yes, overhead line: no
2. a switch, left rail offset -0.95 m, right rail offset +0.95m, direction of travel left, guard rails: yes, overhead line: no

Re: Two Switch objects
check your PMs - there's a link to the items.
Is there any scope to use the "compatibility" feature? I'm only guessing, as I haven't much idea about windows myself. Derryck might know.

Re: Two Switch objects
Switch is a DOS program and these don't work on 7 unofrtunately... this was the reason for coding RailGen.
Re: Two Switch objects
Is there no interpreter for Win7 to permit use of DOS programs?
If not, then Win7 is a right pile of shite! Down with Microsoft.

Re: Two Switch objects
I must be lucky then because its working fine on my Windows 7. Are you using a 64 bit version of windows 7 Velaro? It maybe why
Re: Two Switch objects
I do have a 64-bit version of Windows 7, but I got the tool to work after all - downloaded the DOS emulator DosBOX and ran the program in there. Thanks everyone!

Yep, that's the problem -64bt version. Anyway I was thinking about using an emulator, will have to try that.
