BrnoBVE website - IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
Hi folks,
as it is saying on the title, this is a very important event, so don't miss out. BrnoBVE website has been moved to THIS ADDRESS, so do not hesitate to visit, comment on the new design and functionality, and BOOKMARK the new address.
The reason for migration is getting onto a new and much faster platform, better functionalities, hopefully higher reliability and also better server response. Any ideas for design improvement are welcome.

Hm, let's see what can be done about that. I would need a banner 128/x pixels to do that.

Derryck,
Despite the present OpenBVE issues, please don't forget to add a link to this wiki: http://openbverollingstock.wikia.com/wiki/OpenBVE_Rolling_stock_Wiki (dealing with all the OpenBVE rolling stock).
Thanks
François

Re: BrnoBVE website - IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
Ah, thanks for that one... looks differently from the previous one, is this a new version?
Re: BrnoBVE website - IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
I see there's indeed a new look. One small thing, I could not find a way back to the homepage from the rolling stock page, if there is one it isn't obvious enough.
Re: BrnoBVE website - IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
The new web site looks very nice. I have just downloaded the updated 362 and found it very good, a bit noisy but that's not a problem. Here is a screen grab showing it in external.
The route is really heavy in objects! I get frame rates up to 200 in Cab view, whereas in most routes I get anything from 300-600 fps, and even up to 800 in some. In external view you will see that I only get 80-90 fps. However, as I have explained elsewhere, before I got this new computer the old one wouldn't even move, or if it dide I got no more tha 2 fps, therefore this is a massive improvment.
The only trouble I have with First Bruno is that it is mch too short a run but other than that the route looks fantastic and is nicely filled with objects. Having been to Hungary and travelled on their trains, albeit, many moons ago now, this route and the 362 makes it look very realistic.

Erm, thanks, although Hungary is a bit more down south.
Technically speaking though, the 163 is not only Czech, but also an Italian loco... it was in operation under one of the local railway companies. Am I right, Luigi?

It looks good outside the cab as well as inside. An excellent addition to the Czech scene.
It will be good to see the extra mileage you will be adding to the route. Do you have smaller branch lines left in CZ? If so will you be constructing one?

Yes, most of the routes look like local branches in fact. There are only 3-4 routes that look like the one above.
I will definitely give it a go... and I would love to create a tram line as well, although I know trams might not be that popular. Now that I am done will all the side projects, I am slowly extending the route. Unfortunately the passing train formula I have created does not seem to be working for some reason, I must have the conditions written incorrectly. Studied the ones from Tony H. a from the route of yours, the idea is basically the same, but I have a little different condition - I wanted to stop the train in a station.
TranslateZFunction = IF[trackdistance[0] < 400 & trackdistance[0] > 0, 0.2 * trackdistance[0] + 40, 0]
TranslateZFunction = If[trackdistance[0] < 0 & trackdistance[0] > (-200), 0.2 * trackdistance[0] + 40, 0]

Re: BrnoBVE website - IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
Apologies Derryk, I have my trains in Folders according to Country and it seems that I placed yours in the Hungary Train Folder. I will have to get that sorted out. However, what I said about the route was correct and I have also been to your country too. As your route wouldn't run on my old computer I hadn't used the route for quite a while. I shall be checking it out more often now.
