[WIP] Class 390 Exterior

I think we can move the thread to Development Center

Anyone has diagrams or drawings of the Class 390?

Well I do know that the front is the most difficult to tackle according to the mesh, but I'll see what I've got.

Or if you have pictures of a Class 390, interior, exterior, everywhere, I would appreciate them! You can just zip them up and send an e-mail to joeyfjj[at]hotmail.com. You'll be credited even if I don't apply those textures!

Anyone knows the exact length, breadth and height of the cars of a class 390? I don't think Wikipedia is reliable...

If you would like to work together with BVE4TRAINZ we could make a deal? I could send the the most current class 390 I have(the alstom 390), you can edit things To your content. only thing is, we will have the new bogie system installed, a new front, no interior (too much work unless you can take it on) and then BVE4TRAINZ will host it.

Nice! Well done! Keep it up, even though you only have got the mesh. I was wondering since it said exterior, will there be an interior?

Interior depends on if I have time, if I have the pictures I need,and if there are too many faces.

I've decided to stop developing this (EDIT: for now). I do not have sufficient resources available, and what I have created to far is, quality wise, terrible. I think I can spend more time on my other add-ons.

Sorry to read that. It's looking rather good IMHO, so don't throw it away, but keep it a an unfinished project untill you have more resources.

You are to be commended for not allowing inferior work to be produced. It's not easy to discard stuff that has cost time and effort but you are right to do so if you're not happy with it.
We all have to make those hard decisions sometimes.

In case I created a misunderstanding (I think I did ), I'm not cancelling this, just leaving it on-hold. I'm trying to find time to get some other non-BVE related stuff completed too. I'm also not ready to hand my project to someone else, or to release it as-is, since it is not completed, or refined.

Man, really hate to rain on your parade, but that has already been done. I have a class 390 and it has an exterior. Sorry.

I know about it, I had it too, but I found it too basic, so I started on this.

Well two week ago i asked for for permissions to take over this project, he accpeted and since then i have been working on a few things, firstly the front face, totally ripped out the old placement of the mesh and then replaced with the same mesh but new co-ords so the images would not be the same , also added the tilt and decided to make the bogies fully 3d so that will take alot of time, I will say yes I know there is no pantograph cars on the consist, this is because I have just created a code the keeps the paragraph in line with the wires as the cars tilts for corners.

Wow. This looks pretty cool. And i like the animated tilting. Makes it so much more realistic. And would the tilting be toggled?
