In a world of co-operation!
Hi all,
I've been following the posts on three (3) Forums with regards to copyright and I'm no lawyer but I do feel it is only common courtesy to acknowledge where ones files are sourced from.We have lost some "greats" (if that's the word) over the last year and I do not wish to see the ratio of unfinished / adondoned projects continue to outstrip published ones. Tricky call that affects all of us in the (Open)BVE community.
I'm one that can place trackwork or signals or platforms and on Sunday I had a go at trying to make a structure bigger than a point. It took me many hours and I now have some degree of understanding of what it takes (and time) to make all that goes into a route. Likewise it is no good having the "rights" to something if it just sits on your computer, if that is where it is destined to stay then why label it in the first place as no one else will ever see it. OK here is screenie of what I did and those (particularily Londoners) might recognise it, if not then the picture's tag will give it away!
NB never been there or seen it for myself but from pictures I've looked at online it has the feel if not the accuracy. Picture of span taken by a friend who isn't remotely interested in trains, so I got what I asked for no pictures of the approaches etc. So it is no more than a rough approximation and very much a WIP but interesting all the same.
Bye for now,
Stephen.

You'll find you need the Houses of Parliament on the right side of the river and a Peace Pagoda on the left. You've given me an idea cos I just happen to have loads of pictures of a Peace Pagoda.

Re: In a world of co-operation!
That looks amazing Stephen!
Usually, the only ones who don't respect the wishes of developers aren't other developers - but those wishing to pass of work as their own, simply for the praise. The other issue is that some developers are pulling work - for whatever reason - which means that there has been less trust between developers, because few want to end up having to replace a lot of objects.
The latter issue can easily be resolved with a release form - we use these in the TV and film industry, and once signed, mean that the undersigned agrees to participate/contribute to the film, and once signed, the film cannot be retracted legally. The same form applied to BVE would mean that once signed, an object cannot be pulled - because BVE is a team effort, and that has a huge knock-on effect for an entire route.

Re: In a world of co-operation!
A nice bridge really.
Here at BVE WorldWide, we already have a few products of user co-operation, up from the top of the list I can remember myself ans Graymac cooperating on crossing animations. I think it is the right direction to go, quarreling never lead to a good outcome.

Hi all,
Some more progress with a lot of trackwork completed and a junction or 2 created. Here is a before shot, followed by a closer (WIP) shot.

Busy week ahead with many deadlines and a job interview to attend.

Hi all,
Just a screenie of the line I'm currently working on, a much longer version now than previously the case.
