Openbve crashes when attempting to record/stream it
Whenever I try to stream Openbve, it freezes for a few seconds and then crashes without creating a log. This happens when using both Discord and OBS and on all builds (latest version I tested that worked was 1.4.3). Windows 8.1

That appears to work just fine here.
Had to add it manually, but other than that no problems at all.
Try disabling the overlay and see if that helps:

Other than that, only real suggestion I've got is updating the graphics drivers.

I had it disabled and my drivers are apparently the latest version available :/
I'll try going thru Windows event logs, that might give a lead.

That certainly looks like the overlay to me- It's crashing at the point the new frame has been rendered and we attempt to draw it to the screen.
Windowed mode might help, but I'm not sure we can catch an exception here, and if we do not sure it'd draw anything.....

It still crashes in windowed mode. Still have to test this with OBS, it doesn't have overlays.
A wild guess, can something else with overlays cause it? Like Steam

I'll try to investigte this further. This also happens to Minecraft, but I doubt this is related enough to help. Might look thru its logs at a similar crash though, maybe they can tell more.

Well, I can stream Minecraft too
All that really says is that it's something in the wider openGL driver not liking overlays.
Only real suggestion I've got is updating everything.

I found a different version of the drivers (not sure if the latest, but definitely matching my Windows. I updated from 8 to 8.1 some time ago and these drivers remained the same) and it solved the problem
