NWM- openBVE 1.5.10 crash
Good to hear, but are you aware that the NWM map crashes in the latest version of OpenBVE (v 1.5.3.10) when its time to depart. It happens to me all the time when I attempt to drive a NWM route.

That would be my problem, not Steve's

Will try and take a look today or tomorrow.
Edit:
Can't reproduce anything from a quick play around with a few different files. Everything seems to be OK.
Please open the 'Report Problem' dialog from the link in the bottom left of the main menu, and post the Previous Crash Log - This will show the routefile you were running, and hopefully some details about what it didn't like

Re: NWM- openBVE 1.5.10 crash
This happens only on certain routes with certain trains because I tried to drive the 12:00 Maybank - Hammerwich XP service (2001-2005 era) and it crashed as soon as the service is ready to depart

Before the OpenBVE update (pre v1.5.3.9), the maps were all working fine and imo, I belief it was update (v 1.5.3.9) which messed up some of the maps

It also depends on the quality of the trains you’re driving. Steve’s trains are highly detailed even the ones without exteriors. I suggest you try to either stay in the cabview or possibly use a train with a lower quality exterior

I've just tested a route and it is quite clearly not the train so for certain its the route which is messed up (by OpenBVE)

Did you send the crash report as requested by Leezer?

Found: An issue with the Distance to Next Station Stop feature introduced in 1.5.3.9.
A crash report would have been much simpler though
This should be OK:

(N.B: Over the last couple of weeks, there have been a bunch of internal changes. As far as I know, this hasn't broken anything, but please report any new breakages)

The crash report is created as a zip on your desktop, and not uploaded / sent anywhere.fam622 wrote:Okay and nearly a month ago, I did send a crash report but maybe no-one got it
It's more trouble than it's worth uploading it / emailing it, as this opens a massive can of worms regarding privacy & security concerns.
Re: NWM- openBVE 1.5.10 crash
Maybe we should edit the UX there. Hitting the button should open a dialogue window explaining what exactly is happening and how to send the bug report to you. Or you could have OpenBVE pass the file directly to the email client specified by the OS? This would take the security and privacy concerns off your shoulders while still making sure the user knows they have to send the report (and how).

Hmm.
Maybe the text at the top of the window could move to the OK dialog box?
I could trigger the system email client, but *anything* regarding user submitted data sent via mail could get dicey very quickly in the unlikely event of a complaint (We don't even have a privacy policy, data retention policy etc. etc.), and I'd really rather avoid this

Re: NWM- openBVE 1.5.10 crash
I have exactly the same problem; new computer down loaded the latest version of OpenBVE and the new NWM routes. Get the buzzer from the guard, power up and it jumps back to the OpenBVE home page. Doesn't matter what train I am driving.

1.5.3.11 posted today should solve this.
Apologies for the trouble.
