Metropolitan Line Download Problem
Perhaps someone can help with the above. I got the download from London BVE download section; not the usual extract files but files show as screenshot below:
As you can see, it is not a straight forward extraction but I did use 'Win Rar' to extract 'Object' (CMD and LUL) to object folder and to extract 'Route' to route folder. There was no sound folder to extract. The result was as screenshot below:
Many files missing and many errors. I did try to run the simulation but unfortunately all the stations were missing! I checked my 'add-on' folder and the necessary files were in their correct place. So what am I not doing correctly?
Terry.

Re: Metropolitan Line Download Problem
The Metropolitan Line appears to work OK at this end.
From the looks of things, I'd say one of your two object folders is either missing or incomplete.
You should copy the two folders untouched into your Railway\Object folder; I'd guess you've moved the contents instead?

Below are screenshots of the object folders in question. Maybe there is something amiss. However I'm confused when you say copy the folders 'UNTOUCHED' into the 'object' folder; what do you mean? Sorry to be a pain but I'm mystified!leezer3 wrote:The Metropolitan Line appears to work OK at this end.

Re: Metropolitan Line Download Problem
Having similar problems with installation of District Line only this time, the signals are missing from the simulation. Obviously, I'm having a problem with the object file AGAIN! Screenshot of District Line object folder below. Incidentally, I have no problems with zip file installations but this download format seems to cause no end of mistakes.

Re: Metropolitan Line Download Problem
You have two levels of Object folder, and you should only have one.
Look at the address bar: The path shown is as follows-
Administrator\AppData\Roaming\openBVE\LegacyContent\Railway\Object\Object\LURails
It should be:
Administrator\AppData\Roaming\openBVE\LegacyContent\Railway\Object\LURails

Re: Metropolitan Line Download Problem
The following screenshots show Metropolitan Line Objects in Object file AND show correct title I think but still I cannot get simulation to work properly:

They're now in the correct places.
Can you share an error log again now?
You should be left with ~40 errors, which are normal.

I'd like to if only I knew how to send it. I can get the error log but sending it is a new game completely!

Open the route in routeviewer. Press F9. Either screenshot what comes up or copy and paste it here

To post a log here:
That gives us the full text of the log, which is much better than a screenshot
- Open the error log.
- Select all (CTRL + A)
- Copy to the clipboard (CTRL + C)
- Start a new post here, using the full reply option. (The Post Reply button at the bottom left, *not* the edit box at the bottom)
- You'll get a set of little icons at the top of your editor window. Find the second icon in the fourth box across. It should look like a bit of paper with two arrows on it, sorta Press this, and you'll get a grey box in the editor, which says Code
- Click in here with the mouse, and paste the log (CTRL + V)
- Click below the box, and you can then post as normal.

Did you send it as a .zip file? I'm given to understand that is the best way.
