Well I have copies of them because I normally keep old versions of NWM, so I will have a look at updating them to agree with the changes that the current WIP release has and then release them.

I also will not release any old versions of NWM before anyone asks.

The TSC team have a policy of moving forward and the current version of NWM is a rather different beast to the old ones!

Okay thanks for doing that. Also Steve, will station announcements be returning to the NWM map for the May 2019 final release?

Something I learnt after I joined here is that it is not usually best to post a duplicate of a previous message, unless there are exceptional circumstances; it may seem a bit craved, if that's intentional or otherwise.

Well I don't actually know when the next release of NWM will be, but I do know when it might be planned for!

And it's not May....

But it might be, but that's not the planned date!

Just like any trains I make when I think I can release them when they are Work In Progress never turns out to be when I actually finish them and release them!!!

I can't also say if the announcements will reappear, but a one time station announcer at Guildford, Effingham Jct, Surbiton and Wimbledon stations in Surrey/SW London in the late 80's could make them.

Or me!

But I would not meet the modern bit more posh standards of today or about 15 years ago for that matter! Laughing

Also I make trains and don't have anything to do with NWM bar making train objects for it and hosting it on Bve4Trains.com

I could probably do announcements for NWM if you sent me a transcript. I do generally have a standard British accent which is slightly cockney but might be able to make it like the ones at real stations. Just a thought to consider.

Thanks for the heads up on the German site. I took a look at it and see that it's laced with porn and no doubt that will lead to virus problems for visitors. Please don't use it. If you want NWM downloads Steves Bve4Trains is the official location at present.

Trainsimcentral and Trainsimstuff has not held NWM since closure. I asked Steve Thomas, who is a member of the TSC team, and who now creates all of the train objects for NWM, to host the official NWM suite. Steve creates the driveable trains and train objects that you see on the routes, I create the routes and scenery. Don Hunt is the OLE specialist, and we all owe a great debt to those developers who played a major part of the BVE scene. They and our Trainsimcentral team created so many objects that are part of NWM. So when you visit Bve4Trains, you get access to NWM and a wealth of trains to drive.

I am still developing NWM, although my wife has been very ill this year and I haven't had a lot of time to work on the route. However, I am hoping to finish an update for this Christmas/New Year holiday period. This will clear up a load of bugs in the 2001-2005 and 2006-2010 eras, and add more scenery, although it is still a work in progress. It will also have a few more driveable diagrams, this time for the 2011-2015 era. So with all those lovely locos that Steve Thomas has created you will soon be able to drive all manner of trains from 2001 to 2015.

I do not intend to post again until I have completed what I have stated here.

Tony

Well no, I don't have a copy!

As Tony (Call2) has pointed out above I make trains and have no other input in the NWM route.

I get sent it and then put it on my site for everyone.   Smile

Just out of curiousity, has TSC/TSS ever hosted Anthony Bowden Watford Junction to Rugby line along side with that class 87 which you can see in the picture below

No, because it was never publicly released and doubt it ever will be.

RIP the class 87. Could of been good for the NWM map to use on a service. (Giving ideas to Steve as we speak) xD

Actually I made a Class 87 route object a few years ago.

But that's it, I don't have the quite a few things to make anything else....

Ah snap. I have attempted to make a class 87 set but my question is how do you rotate a carriage (the carriage object) because I want to flip around a mk3 set and I cant. So can you please tell me how to do this. Otherwise, I could send you the set which I attempted and you could maybe fix my errors

Just wanting to past on a suggestion here to Tony (or more conveniently you (Steve)), will more AI trains be added to the upcoming update and future updates (if the map will be continued after the May 19 mega update)? xD

Other than copyright problems, what would make you not feel like releasing it? I'm not asking for a link of course; I haven't a vested interest in National Rail locomotives, but I'm just wondering

When I make/modify stuff, I don't really release it, it depends on what it is and whether it works or not and of course. I am going to need a working cab view of a class 87 in-order to make it because there are no proper working class 87 cabs out there

If you did have the resources to make something of a project you make, it could be possible, once it reaches a stage, to release it as a WIP; coincidentally like how SP released the 487 without a cab, which in that example will probably not be able to have a realistic/somewhat accurate cab until the LT Museum have finished their renovation of the 487 and photos can be taken.

True, but I am not a train maker like that. I make trains for fun and I am going to be making a class 321 (with an exterior) in both 4 and 8 car formations for the NWM map.
