Re: Train fever
Yepp, this looks pretty amazing.
...we would just need an option to export the lines as BVE routes xD

Re: Train fever
OK, I've got some concerns regarding the game - I have decided to go for the "try before you buy" experience, and downloaded a demo or beta or whatever it is.
The strange thing is - even when I build, set up and run a line (any line - bus, train, tram), there is nothing waiting in my stations... they are all built properly and connected to the road network, as per tutorial.
Strange... glad I have not paid for the game YET.
Re: Train fever
Didn't try myself yet, but did you let the game run some time? From the gameplay videos and the reviews I know it takes some time for the passengers to notice there is a station and there is service to it; that won't happen while paused.

Re: Train fever
Well I did wait for the train to go forth and back... that should be enough...? Maybe I am just impatient, though, I will give it another try.
I like the way the railway is built in the game, it even sets the speed limits automatically (based on curves, slope, etc.) so I hope it will turn out to be working.

Re: Train fever
Where did you get the demo?

Oh bu**er, this is addictive
.
I also think that (having studied early railway formation) that it might be a bit more subtle than first appears.

Re: Train fever
They still do: http://www.justtrains.net/product/train-fever is the other one.
Though I must say Steam isn't that bad... I'm very sceptical about such systems (same with Amazon's ebooks - you buy something and yet have no guarantee you will keep it, as it depends on the servers etc.) and try to avoid them where possible; but now I have Steam because of RPG maker (it was waaaaay cheaper there for a short time) and I must say it works like a charm.

Re: Train fever
STEAM is pure DRM. I avoid STEAM, uPlay, EA Origin etc. at all costs.
I buy games mainly at gog.com ...

DRM-free, but the bugs & missing features are the same as within the DRM-Version.
I decided against a purchase ...
