Looking at the comparisons it is amazing how great the improvement is. Hopefully it will encourage similar reworkings of some other old favourite routes to bring them up to date and allow a new lease of life. Excellent work, M'sieur! Very Happy Very Happy

Merci beaucoup, très cher Smile

I've finished retexturing the 3D models of the cars made by Hervé. The only question is - is it better to keep the windows textured, or make it transparent ?

Probably textured unless you put an interior in, then transparent is yer man!

Thanks. I'll definitely stay with textured windows as neither I or Hervé are planning to do an interior.

Important train question: Does anyone knows how to make a loop sound that is NOT played while you're idle and that the sound's speed does NOT change depending your speed ? The thing is the Re 4/4'' I'm making has an old time speedo which does make some kind of counter sound.

I suspect that would require some plug-in coding, about which I know nothing.

No there's not really a way to have a loop sound that only plays when moving unless you add them to all the motor related sounds.

That would be a major mixing exercise.

But there are two loop configs in the sound file that play all the time.

[Others]
Noise = Loop.wav

and

[Ats]
12 = idle.wav

Add the Ats related file to the right place in the [Ats] in number order.

The wav files can be called whatever you want.

I've added a few new screens on the webpage of the project.

More important: Here is a probably interesting before-after comparison...

Cool work done there mate.. bounce

Awesome, awesome scenery blended with neat tracks and gantries = El fantástico! (I have a fascination with electric engines and stuff, idk why) cheers

And, ooh, the wheels of the train look somewhat 3d-ish in contrast to the 2-d look on most openBVE trains...
