First project, here it goes - can you tell what it is yet?

Base wagon used with permission from Graymac - although by the time it's finished, not much will be left!

This could both become some tank waggon as well as some Fals-style or similar grain waggon by the looks of it.

Closer with the grain wagon, but not right. Think infastructure....

Getting closer - what holds track down?

BTW - not too sure whether these are around in Germany - they are in the UK and Ireland

Huh? Its weight?^^

Just had a check in the dictionary... With "gravel" I meant "ballast", seems the word "gravel" is used in street construction only?

Ah right - lost in translation there Quork - it is a ballast wagon. In the UK, these are JJA Autoballasters, but over here they are HBOS wagons (High Ballast Output Systems). This is an Irish one - it *might* become a UK one, but only as a version, not the main one

Okay, thanks for the info =)

I suppose they never look this colourful in reality for more than 2 weeks after production? Laughing

Actually, the IÉ ones seem pretty clean. Prehaps that's because they seem to spend weeks at a time in the yard....

Blimey! Over 10 months has passed since the last (and only!) update. Well, I'm pleased to say that I've restarted making the JJA, using some new information. A photo recently came to light with as a brilliant side-on and I've also found a drawing with key dimesions on it. These key dimensions are the bluey box around Graymac's base wagon. It shows that it needs to be extended to match

A little project JJARestart1_zpsac88283f

The blue box was all done under one [Meshbuilder] command, instead of the previous 5 that I had prepared. Hopefully this will make the building of the hopper easier!

Hopefully I'll be able to make the length adjustments over the weekend

Another update

Today, all the underfloor hoppers have been made:

And the overall dimensions are now correct:

Now the fun starts - making the actual hopper!
