johnsinden wrote:Manuel, there is a photo here of the Class 395 cab - it probably differs slightly from the 373, but it might give you some ideas. Note the combined accelerator/brake lever.
Keep up the good work

Thanks a lot, well, "Aux Commandes du Eurostar(On the Controls of Eurostar)" on youtube is very helpfull too on AWS device.
I need use the combined accelerator/brake lever, its not the first time i create a 3D Cab, but with KVB and TVM it is.
On several cases, Locomotives like a DB Siemens Electric Locos "BR182" use just a Accelerator level and independient brake system, but this time, for the Eurostar its different, there is a fuction to use "Dynamic Brake incluides in the Accelerator" , so, this is it, i'm going to use Combined Accelerator / Brake Lever, more realistic huh ?
Here is the a Pictures , on the Cab, there is a huge work to do.

Re: Class 373 Eurostar
Huh, what do you mean? The DB class 182 ("Taurus" in Austria, OeBB classes 1016/1116) has four levers: Vsoll and F on the left (target speed selector for the AFB speed assistance system and force lever, which either determines max. force if AFB is active or target force if AFB is inactive), Fbrv and the "Bremssteller" (brake valve for pneumatic brake and target force lever for dynamic (=electric) braking) on the right, just like any modern (=post-70's) loco in continental Europe (except for the Vsoll-lever, which of course is only existant on vehicles equipped with an AFB system) like DB classes 111 or 120 to pick some older classes.Manuel18 wrote:On several cases, Locomotives like a DB Siemens Electric Locos "BR182" use just a Accelerator level and independient brake system

Re: Class 373 Eurostar
Quork, I'm sure you're right, but don't you think that such advanced braking systems would be too "advanced" to incorporate into OpenBve. Or has somebody done this already?

Re: Class 373 Eurostar
Well to be honest, that's not advanced at all. I know in GB it is not usual to have two levers for the brakes, but this also surely hasn't been so always. Every locomotive has a lever for the pneumatic (=train) brake and most locos (starting with steam engines with the Riggenbach brake in 1871, electrical locos starting with the first resistor brakes somewhere in I think the twenties, later recuperation brakes starting with the use of solenization engines in the 70's, not sure when it started with diesel vehicles) (i.e. all locos with dynamic brakes) have a lever for the dynamic (=loco) brake. My sentence about modern, post-70's locos referred not to the brakes but to the power lever, which before was a wheel.
I'm well aware that OpenBVE doesn't reflect the differentiation between the two braking systems at all (except for the setting in the panel file, which of course is static then), it has always been >the< downpoint of OpenBVE. I had posted about this back then in the dev forum, but it didn't seem Michelle really cared as far as I remember. It would have to be done with a plugin which would completely override the user interface of OpenBVE (e.g. have power settings 1-100 for the dynamic brake and 101-200 for acceleration)...

A short Clip, now i upgraded Bogies and Articulated units, coaches textures, apply Eurostar logo on all carriages, also the 3D Cab work with TVM but i dont show the 3D Cab on this video.
However, i need work on the sound, CAB Model, KVB , Pressure Needles, Digital Speedometer

Manuel, that's absolutely fantastic - well done. Please keep the French lady's voice, she sounds soooo sexy. I'm sure more people would travel by train if they heard her voice every day. It would brighten up everybody's commuter run to work.
Well Done

Re: Class 373 Eurostar
have to say that external looks very good. you've got the curves smooth where I've seen others have a sharp edge. (on different trains)

Its a simply external train, also i think on create the interior, but that take a lot of time, my first version is this, a simply external, but, there are limitations. "with the nose off course"
PD: I'm Not using Blender or Canvas programs , i prefer the Free method, that is the reason my trains looks like a bit simply.
I asume my challenges, its time to reveal this train at the French , the first time i play the LGV Route with that train, i said : "what is this train?, dear god, seriously?" , i expect a better train "on exterior", but that train is my "Teacher" on KVB and TVM systems, , but like some people say "if dont like the train, do yourself", that is why i'm doing, my favourite train.
Soo, i just write the code on a csv file, the last train i've done , had 8759 lines per wagon and a textures 3650 pixels per 760 pixels and 2048 x 2048, with full detailed interior, this is a torture for me.

That lady voice is in the route, you play on that route, you will listen every time that voice, only when the train depart at the "Gare" or "Station", but there is a exception on it "rame TGV" she need say "rame Eurostar" this is not a TGV Train, BY THE NOW, the Special TGV or GNER livery, could be released after at Eurostar 1.0 version.

Don't forget - the GNER sets were shorter than the normal Eurostars.
Great work Manuel - would love to drive this when it's ready. Have a few memories of travelling on the GNER sets

Re: Class 373 Eurostar
Hi,
Looks great and importantly so from in the cab where Drivers tend to operate their trains from is excellent. The externals look good in screenies or as passing trains, though not what a driving sim's primary role is.
Bye for now,
Stephen.

Sure , it does, its compatible with KVB and TVM on LGV Route, that add more realistic "first role driving sim" on train system
I had some issues with Class 373 GNER, that train use AWS but i dont have a special UKtrainsys.dll to run it.
I had 2 choices, create a 2D Cab with that system, or release the train without that system.
To end, here are 2 Class 373 "Eurostar and TGV Livery trains, on my new blog , that is the 0.95 version, is not completed, i need finish the KVB and Brake needles indicators
