Re: Guess the station!
@Jamie: They're actually old offices and post office. Try searching on google maps, you might find it... approx 170 kilometers away from Brno, coal mines area.

Re: Guess the station!
If you want some flats Jamie, try taking pics round Chavbrook Gardens, they'd hit you on the head and nick your mobile phone as a reward
I got the flats at Ballymun* in my latest WIP, but I got them at a safe distance of 150 miles off google.
*A rather rough estate in Dublin, made Brixton look like a holiday camp and Chelmsley Wood look like a convent.
** and for the sake of Oxfordshire lad Viccy, that's like sayin' Blackbird Leys is a kindergarten, I think yez all get the idea!

We've got a couple of areas in Coventry like that... Christ, a dSLR would be on eBay before you've even realised someone's had it off you.graymac wrote:try taking pics round Chavbrook Gardens, they'd hit you on the head and nick your mobile phone as a reward

Re: Guess the station!
Awesome! All right, here's mine. As it's a closeup, I don't think clues are necessary as to the general location, so I won't give any hints unless no one gets close at all.

Re: Guess the station!
I think it might be "nicetrylookingathefile", just up the road from Finchley??
Re: Guess the station!
That looks like East Acton to me.

Re: Guess the station!
A bit like, but wrong curve Theres a redbrick building on East Acton too, none in this pic.
Re: Guess the station!
Nope, it's not East Acton. If another person fails, I'll give out a hint, but I really think it's not too hard.
Re: Guess the station!
Well, the logo makes it easy to identify the station as being part of the London Overground network. I checked all their stations on Wikipedia and yet I did not find this station. The most similar station would be Bushey, but the platform roofs are shaped differently.

Re: Guess the station!
Well, Quork, I can tell you that your first sentence is untrue. I don't think other hints are necessary yet as this is a pretty unique station. By the way, I have not photoshopped/edited this photo at all except for blurring out the station names in the blue part of the roundels.
Re: Guess the station!
HOLD ON!
I know that station! Used to pass it on my trips to London from my old home in Hillingdon!
That'd be the one and only WEST HARROW!
Being very young then, I remembered how all the stations looked on the section between Uxbridge and Harrow-on-the-hill.

Re: Guess the station!
Well will you feel rehabilitated when Vishnu confirms and you'll have the right to put the next station?

Re: Guess the station!
Sorry for the delayed reply. Yes, West Harrow is correct! Great job, Bruce! Quork, when I said this station was quite unique, I meant that it was the only station with visibly faded roundels (of the overground style, not the plaque style). Take a look below to see what I mean:
Anyway, your turn, Bruce!

I knew I was right, thanks Vishnu!

So...what about this station? Here is the first photo, if you struggle you can always ask for the other half!
