Richard Helliwell's Northern Heights for BVE

Post by Movingmillion on Wed Sep 12, 2018 6:50 pm

After seven years of searching, and seven years in the dark, after BVERoutesandTrains was unfortunately closed in July 2011, the Northern Heights route, the lost gem of the site, has been found. All credit, 100%, goes to the original creator Richard Helliwell. He is the one who made this all possible. Sidenote, this route requires objects from the Northern Line V3 from around 2006. I will provide an archive link to that here as well. I hope you enjoy it just as much as I do.

This leaves our BVE Preservation team with not much to do, by the way. We are still attempting a recovery of the Northern Heights route by Hans Van Oost, and will keep you posted if any developments come about.

Here are the links: I truly hope you enjoy. It's been over seven years since I last played it as an 8-year-old!

As an alternative, this is a standalone version in package format, not requiring the Northern Line to install:
http://vps.bvecornwall.co.uk/routes/northernheights.zip

The files called for from the Northern Line have been replaced for from a variety of sources (NWM, Birmingham X-City, Plymouth & some custom builds).
LUSigs has been included in the download & I *believe* I've fixed all the transparency issues and similar.
Some minor detail differences as a result of this, but nothing significant Smile

I'll create a page for this on my site in a day or two, once I've had a chance to chase up the Z-fighting issues, but feel free to redistribute the package.
