3D Cab's Empty 3D Cab's

Post by mrknowitall Fri Dec 02, 2011 7:28 pm

I thought id create a new topic for this as i want to also go off topic to my site in the other thread. So as The threads says, Apart From the ones we know about, Is there anyone else out there who has thought about making a 3 dimension cab?

I've always wanted to give 3D cabs a go. And not long ago i finally started seeing a new light on them, There (for me anyway) A lot easier to create because i all ready like to make externals, So whipping a few faces up was easy enough to do. But the likes of Grayham Wongie etc... IS there any plans in the future for a 3d cab?

A few things i learnt from the 3D cab was a few things that are hidden behind a 2D cab. The movement from the camera relivent to which way the body would "sway" if the train accelerated fast, or de accelerated. At the start of the 350 cab i noticed the cab would sway WAY too much , but after figuring that out, i fount the wieght of the car fixed this problem.

I'll also attach a nice little preview of a cab in WIP. with WIP textures, And one texture there for showing, and wont be used upon release.

Looks very promising alright. I was also thinking about producing a 3D cab for my trains, but I haven't create even a 2D cab so far. Anyone to assist, maybe???

I used Anthony B.'s code, and slightly modified it to fit the angle. Well, as I always say, it does not have to be right, it just needs to look right!

Wongie: Yep, got into it. Although it won't be a 3D cab this time, I will try one later on. Surprised
