Obj file with negative vertex indices don't work

Post by zbx1425 on Sun Jul 01, 2018 4:11 am

A Obj file exported by Max2Obj cannot be loaded into OpenBVE. After inspecting the file I found it used negative vertex indices when creating faces.

OpenBVE's Obj file loader seems doesn't adapt this format.

Also, I hope the Object Viewer program can calculate the XMin,XMax,YMin,YMax,ZMin,ZMax, and also the width, length and height and display them when loading a model. This could be very helpful for train developers in order to let them offset the model and set the car lengths correctly and accurately.

The numbering is actually offset from the end of the vertex list as opposed to the start.
Today's build should fix that, what an irritating little specification quirk Razz

(Never came across that when building the parser originally....)
