OK. Off the top of me head, and here goes . . . .
Name the four stations on the closed railway line between Cheltenham, Glos and Kingham, Oxon located between Charlton Kings and Kingham.

Well I know that grand fellow Dr. Beeching had it closed in 1962.

It was closed before the "Beeching Axe" came down, bus services had been put in place between the four places in the Cotswolds which lost their stations. In fact, I don't think there was ever a diesel on it later than a GWR fling banana.

Stow-on-the-Wold, Bourton-on-the-Water, Notgrove, Andoversford Junction, Charlton Kings, but ignore Andoversford because, being a junction, it is possibly still open to Cirencester, although I can't remember it being so. Arrow

Those names are right. Andoversford to Cirencester (with a station at Chedworth) also closed. Notgrove was so small it is incredible there was a station at all. The station at Stow on the Wold was a long walk down the hill from the market town, located close to the village of Maughersbury.

Midland 0-10-0 bank engine for the Lickley incline, usually at Bromsgrove.

Although, i think she was known locally as "Big Emma"

OK then.

When delivered, what was visually unique about D401, not replicated on any other Class 50 at any time?

(Note, D401 not D400, so it's not the teeny tiny handrails under the headcode panel)

Well both D400 and D401 both had equipment that none of the rest of the class had and were fitted for multiple running.

Only D401 had the "Dreadnought" nameplate.

Not quite, that was a bit later.

One for the Rivet Counters, this. The Multiple Working thing was close, but not quite the answer, as it only had sockets, but not jumpers, look:

D400, which had Orange jumpers
D401 with just the sockets (no, that's not me...)
D449 with no jumpers
D408 with the jumpers added later at Crewe, which were initially painted black

So, Misfit was close.

It was for trials with D400, but since you only need one of the pair of jumpers hooked up, only one was provided, so D401 only had the socket for D400 to plug into.

Next question then. Why were the Bedford-St.Pancras DMU sets (Class 127) initially given the Blue Star coupling code, but later changed to Red Triangle, but with no modification?
