Rosice Railway
Hello guys,
I have started a new project today, still in its prenatal age, though. For more details, see my website. Just to give you an idea of what it will be, see the comparison below. :-)

Re: Rosice Railway
News rails looked kinda too flat to me... nothing we cannot fix here.

Re: Rosice Railway
Looks great!
If you're willing to go through the trouble, you could adjust the platform edge around those level passages (are they for passengers? If so, maybe there should be some signs or something informing about when to pass and what to look for? I have no idea about how this stuff is handled in the Czech Republic. I did download the German translation of the Czech signalling and railway operation rulebook from the DB rulebook database, but I never had the time to actually read it...). At least in those countries I've visited and seen such passenger level crossings in, the edge would be lowered. Also, depending on how old the platform is, the edges would be somewhat withered around the crossings.

Re: Rosice Railway
That one is just a duty crossing for the dispatcher. I think you mean something like this. :-)

Yes exactly =)

Re: Rosice Railway
As far as my knowledge goes, these STrail guys also deliver crossings to Poland and Germany, so it should look familiar to you.
Re: Rosice Railway
STrail is one of the standard manufacturers for the plates, yes

Just to clear things up - the picture above also provides a test of the water surface animation. :-)

Re: Rosice Railway
Hello guys,
I have finally managed to get a bit of free time, so I have browsed my "textures" directory (well, in fact they are just photos for future texture making) and found something that FBT was missing. The magnets for signalling system in the route. While I am not sure if I will be updating the FBT anymore, I have decided to create this thing for the new project - Rosice Railway. The signalling looks much better when there is the actual device that communicates with it - doesn't it?
With that being in place, I think I have now got everything the village station needs to have. It is a positive sign for the future…

Re: Rosice Railway
So, today is the day I managed to put some vertical grass (that actually looks like grass) into the route. I could be posting an update soon.
I need to manage the switches, which is extremely tedious. Once I have that task behind me, life will be easier again.
Also - went to watch Monthy Python's Spamalot. Graymac will know.
Re: Rosice Railway
Another small addition finished today. I will be putting it in the route soon. I still have to put some tiling under the booth and tweak the shadows a bit.
Re: Rosice Railway
The trees and bushes gave you away. At first glance, I wanted to ask you, how you were going to make a good grass texture out of that photo. Great work =D

Re: Rosice Railway
Yeah, the trees... you recognize them, don't you.
I will have to redo them a bit, I found a certain way to make them look better (in other words - the neighboring faces won't be displaying the same part of the texture). I have got the pattern, now I just need to implement it.
